Hello! I hope everyone is well. The weather has gone a bit chilly here in NorCal, so I decided bust out the yarn. This is one of my newest creations! His name is Bo-bot. When I gave him to my son, I "pressed" the buttons and made 'bee-boop' and 'bleep-bleep' sounds. Now he pushes the buttons and makes the sounds! It's so cute! I'm so stoked on my robots (I made a red one for my friend, it came out much better than this one!) They are my own design, I even wrote down my pattern as I went along!! That's big for me!! I'm a little stoked on my crafting skills right now!
I'm so glad to see thatI wasn't the only on who took a summer hiatus! Keep up the great work y'all! It's keeps me inspired!! May your day be filled with good thoughts, luscious merriment, and as muchobsessive yarning as possible! Namaste!

I was at Craftster.org browsing through their forum and came across these cute "tropical monkeys". They made my fingers ITCH to make one. So I did. I hope Puchitomato won't mind, but I promise I'm not selling it or giving out the pattern. My little gal isn't exactly like hers anyway, I think hers is better - with the two pieced face. This is the pink monkey that I made. The original one was brown but when I saw a member from one of my crochet groups had made it in a baby pink with white I just had to make a similar one and I made mine in hot and baby pink...sort of like the pink panther colors...LOL

The pattern is from one of the older Annie's Attic books.

She is a gift for my friends' daughter. The one that I made the bear for; yeah, her. She's just about due. I think she's got about a week and 1/2 left. And she just quite working which I can't believe I was ready to be done with work when I was about 6 months. We were joking that she was going to have the baby behind the counter (she works at my local coffee shop). But that would never happen! I used Amigurmi Girls Mr Frog Pattern with some changes. I did the arms differently. I also kind of sculpted the head/face part to look more frog like. My Mr. Frog is about 3 1/2 inches tall from his but to the top of his head.

I used Frog Tree Alpaca in sport wieght and used a C hook because I really wanted to try my hand a some mini amigurumi and use some xtra good yarn too.

I already posted about Lulu here. I used her with Mr Frog to show some some scale.

I just finished my first amigurumi!

The pattern for him is from http://naidascrochet.com/patterns/bear.html

For his legs I worked the same round 1 as the pattern
Then for the second row I did 2sc in each st around (12 sc) And then rounds 3-6 were the same as the pattern.

For the my teddy's ears:
Ch2, 5dc in 2nd chain from hook, slip stitch into first chain.

For my teddy's tail:
Round1: Ch2, 3sc in 2nd chain from hook, place marker
Round2: 2sc in each sc on hook (6 sc) place marker
Rounds 3 and 4: sc around.

I'm sorry you can't see the tail in the picture.

I'm looking for a pattern for a crochet sushi pillow(crocheted amigurumi style). Can anyone help me?

Finally! It's a gift for my friend's baby shower. I think he's a little funky shaped, I didn't use a pattern. I just hope she likes it. Actually, I guess she doesn't have to like it, the baby does. And most babies don't care about proportions.

I should be able to fix my 'proportion' problem since I got an Amigurumi Collection (Vol. 3) book. :D :D :D It makes me so, so happy! So far, so good with the charts. I bought a pictorial Japanese/English dictionary today, so I'm slowly figuring out what the symbols mean. Unfortunately, there is no pronunciation, only kanji. Which is fine, but I guess I was hoping for both. I guess you can't always get what you want, but you get what you need! Ahh baby, yea! Sorry, just a little Stones to end the day!! So.... happy thoughts, lusious merriment, and much obsessive yarning!

Well, here's the 2nd one as promised, lol. I finished it this afternoon. Again, it started as a pattern from Roxycraft, but this time I only used the pattern for the body & head. The rest I designed as I went along.

I really like this one & can't wait to move on to my next which I think is going to be a "Chihuahua". After seeing how adorable Jenn's turned out the other day, who could resist!

I had ordered some patterns from "Roxycraft" a couple of weeks ago. The pattern was clear & easy to follow, but I wanted to add my own spin to it.

Well, she's finally done. Can't say I'm 100% pleased, but I think for my first one she's ok. I have a couple problem areas that I need to improve on, i.e. the legs aren't exactly right, the arms aren't the same length or attached evenly and the neck really needs some help (It's sooo floppy but I think I figured it out though). I made this for a baby shower coming up next month. I used Caron Simply Soft Orchid and White. The length of the blanket portion is about 2 ft (I haven't measure it yet sorry). There's a photo of it with my daughter at my Flickr site for reference - she is over 42" tall. Good Morning! I've been slowly working on my girl. I had originally named her Pinky, but every time my son sees her he say "nice, nice." So I think I'm going to change her name to Nice. I think she likes it.she's not very happy that she's not done though. Even though her eyes are closed, she still shoots out the dirty looks. Especially since Body is sittin' right next to her. she doesn't dig that too much. Honestly, Body would like to be connected too. They say, "I just don't feel complete, mom. Fix me." So I'm almost done. And I have to work today. But I am going over to my friend's house and she loves to craft. I bet I can convince her to help me make some hair. If someone would help, that would be great! It would get done so much faster! We'll see this evening. Hopefully I'll have her completed tomarrow and be able to post her tomarrow night. Yeah! That sounds like a good goal. I'm gonna go for it! Well, have a good one, all! See ya soon!

Thought I would post a picture of my first amigurumi that I crocheted. I just took a combination of various amigurumi and used the Bernat Demin Style yarn. I love Sock Monkeys. I wanted to use the Rodeo Tan but I could only get ahold of the darker style. I think it didn't turn out too bad for a first try. Probably overstuffed the belly too much, but if I squish him down a bit, you can't even tell (ouch!) I have a feeling I'm going to be an amigurumi-aholic...they are just way too cute. Okay...onto the next one!

Meet Rasta the Happy Critter, he likes to listen to music and relax. He's a happy guy and his favorite thing to do is laugh.

You have already met Lila. I finished her friend Corbin Jr. yesterday his body, arms and legs a bit bigger than Lila's. My kids just love them. Corbin Jr was all wrapped up in a homemade sleeping bag last night on the night stand next to my son.

I'm a bit disappointed that I'm still getting holes where you can see the stuffy :( What's the trick to avoid that. I especially get a holey look when decreasing. I did find that if I don't decrease in the same place every time it's not as noticeable but I can still see it.

First I just want to say that I am happy being part of this community. I just love amigurumi, and I am totally addicted. At the moment I am working on a piggy and a duck. Both of the pattern I got from a Japanses book. The piggy needs a leg and the duck has quite a while to go. Right now the duck is sad because it can't go anywhere. He has no wings or feet, but that will change soon.

Lila is a Baby Critter I made from How to Crochet Adorable Amigurumi by Carolyn Christmas Savage. I will need to alter the body pattern by adding extra stitches and use a smaller hook because the multi-colored yarn was much thinner than the blue.

I have enjoyed reading about everyone's creations and I just have to thank you for the inspiration. I finally got around to making the cat. Since I could not read the original Japanese instructions, I did not know if the mouth, arms, legs or tail were to be stuffed. I only stuffed the tips of the arms and legs.

Introducing Cinnamon...

This little guy sat unfinished in my project cabinet since the beginning of this year. I was looking for pink yarn for Project Spectrum this month and I noticed the little body already stuffed just headless. He was crocheted on a G hook in Red Heart Classic "Buff." So I picked him up and crocheted his head last night. I think I made the head a little too small for the body but overall he is cute, and Maverick seems to like him...

Maverick was interesting in what I was working on and kept coming over and smelling little Cinnamon. When I was finished I put little Cinnamon on the his pillow under the table and then went to the bathroom. I came back and saw the two of them getting ready for bed.

I had not planned on giving Maverick Cinnamon but who can resist such a cute face, I tell you my pup loves stuffed animals...

Here's what I've got going:

Amigurumi Piggy for the Girlfriend's Mother - about 40% done. This is my first amigurumi project, and other than having a bit trouble with the tightness of the stitches, I'm enjoying it. This is my only project with a deadline, so I'm assuming it'll be the first one done.

Amineko (Japanese Crocheted Cat) - about 15% done. I just started this weekend on Mr. Kitty here. He's just a head and a quarter of a torso. I'm using the free amineko pattern I decoded and posted on my blog.

My other non-amigurumi WIPs (cathedral afghan, granny afghan, and a red teddy bear) are available for viewing on my blog.

Oh man. I've done it. I've actually found a free pattern of a Amineko. But, the problem was, it was in Japanese. Bablefish to the rescue! But, if you've used online translators before, you know that you get a rather amusing version of English.So, I put on my thinking cap, and asked around the sites I lurk at, and was able to get some help deciphering this pattern. Special thanks to yarndiva at crochetville for her extra special help, and Sushi Mifune and squambo on craftster for their initial translation help.

Awhile ago I posted my little Mr. Frog and some of you visited my website and asked for the pattern. Me? Pattern? hahahaha (^_^)' I finally got around to writing it down, although... I'm not sure how correct it is, meaning I've never written a pattern before so I hope it makes sense! Meet Chouckette, my first human amigurumi. It was also very experimental as it's my own pattern (ie, no pattern).

I made her like a naked dool, and then made the dress separate.

Valentine the cat

It's been a long time since I posted... but I haven't stopped making stuff ! Here is my latest, Valentine the cat. I named her like that because I made her on Valentine's day.

I also made a second cat so my blue cat wouldn't feel lonely on Valentine's day. They now spend their time cuddling on the couch ;)

I made quite a few of those little chicks, and I think I finally found the right design.

Here's Ella the Black Cat

I made her for my daughter at her request. She wanted a cat she could dress up like she dresses up her dolls. I made the poncho for the cat too. I made the pattern up myself you can find it here. You will find another cat I made for my son there too. It turned out better because I used Red Heart yarn instead of the Caron Simply Soft yarn I used for Ella.

My daughter did all the embroidery on her doll. I did the embroidery on my sons doll which I think turned out ok but could still use some improvement.

I'm not posting a photo of my son's cat here because apparently his cat is shy. When I make another cat I will be replacing the photos of his cat with the new one.

My next project will be to make the dragon. I like the baby seal too.
