starting amigurimi
i'm beginning my very first amigurimi but it really looks like i'm doing something wrong because there are visible holes and it doesn't look like it does in the picture.
does anyone have any advice on what i may be doing wrong?

Some of mine have biggish holes too. I think it is necessary to be able to expand outward. But I'm not sure I am pretty new to it too.
I just don't understand how to go to the next round properly. It gets very messy for me after R6, Sc 4, 2sc in next sc....
I am not that good. Any help@
