Bear Pattern


Ok, here it is, as promised, for free. But if you wouldn't mind helping me build up my etsy profile, please get the PDF version from my store. Hope you enjoy it. I would appreciate any feedback.

6 sc in ring (6)
2 sc in each sc (12)
*1 sc, 2 sc in next sc (inc made)* around (18)
*2 sc, inc* around (24)
*3 sc, inc* around (30)
sc in each sc around (30)
sc in each sc around (30)
*sc 2 tog (dec made), 3 sc* around (24)
*dec, 2 sc* around (18)
*dec, 1 sc* around (12)
Embroider the face on a small piece of felt and sew it on.

ears (make 2)
ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join. Attach to head. This will look like a semi-circle

body
6 sc in ring (6)
2 sc in each sc (12)
*1 sc, 2 sc in next sc (inc made)* around (18)
– 9. sc in each sc. (18) That’s 6 even rows
10. *dec, 1 sc* around (12)
sc in each sc

legs and arms (make 4)
6 sc in ring (6)
*inc, 1 sc* around (9)
sc in each sc (9)
*dec, 1 sc* around (6)
– 8. sc in each sc (6) 4 even rows
*Note: You might want to make the arms a bit longer than the legs, but they look nice either way. Only stuff the very ends, the paws.

scarf
with color A ch 35 cut, leaving a short end for tassels
with the right side facing you, with color B sc in each sc. cut
with the right side facing you, with color A sl st in the back loops only. Cut

Abbreviations
ch.......................................................... chain
dec......................... decrease (aka sc 2 tog)
inc................ increase (aka 2 sc in 1 stitch)
sc........................................... single crochet
sl st............................................... slip stitch
tog................................................... together
